Painting, to me, is an act of devotion.

Sometimes I paint beauty; other times, whimsy. Sometimes I paint, scrape it all off and start over again. To me, the joy is in the process. I’m devoted to painting in a way that a person might be devoted to a best friend.

Walking is a part of my daily life and painting practice too. As I walk, I look up to see the sky, clouds and trees. Sometimes I look down. I pick up leaves, sticks and stones.

All of these experiences, the walk, the sky, the clouds, the leaves, the sticks and stones inform my paintings. My hope? These paintings will, with a bit of luck, be of some benefit to you, the viewer.
