Follow Crispy the Crab

Why Follow Crispy the Crab? Stay tuned and I will share. But first, here’s a warm and colorful welcome. If you’re new, know that this is a place where I share colorful paintings, sketches and adventures each week.

My hope is that these color clad images will delight your eyes and lift your spirits. Sign up here to receive these weekly posts in your inbox.

OK! Here’s this week’s painting which is actually a colored pencil sketch aka “Follow Crispy the Crab.”

Come Along with Crispy the Crab

We are on the road heading north along the east coast. My wonderful British Mother-in-Law gave me the bright and colorful, red/orange little crab stuffed animal recently. We thought it would be fun to show Crispy the Crab in various places along our road trip.

As you can see in the colorful sketch above, our road trip coffee stops include Dunkin Donuts. My better half enjoys their Americano with a smidge of milk. Me? I luv their Double Espresso. Each of us (and now Crispy!) get a special, colorful, caffeine filled jolt at the Dunkin’ while on the road.

More Colorful News

I’m excited to share that the painting entitled “Gone Fishing,” 16×8 inch oil painting on panel has sold. And, this sale will benefit, in part, the Diamante Arts & Culture Center; North Carolina’s oldest Latin Cultural center. Here it is! Can’t you just picture Crispy in the sand or surf of this painting? ;-D

The Road Ahead

As I write this we are in Massachusetts bound for Canada and Newfoundland. I will share more details about our travels in the days and weeks ahead. In the meantime, I can share that it’s cooler and breezier here in New England than expected. We are lucky to have brought warm wool sweaters, shirts and socks in anticipation of our Newfoundland trek. Who knew we would be wearing all of the above on the 21st of May in Massachusetts!

What is happening in your world gentle reader? Whether your travel is real or imaginary, I would love to hear from you. Please share your thoughts in the comments below.

Congratulations on the sale of your lovely and sublime painting!!!! Taking Crispy along reminds me of Flat Stanley…… a grade school assignment my son had. It involved taking Flat Stanley (paper doll) on a tour of DC and shooting photos with him at each historic stop. Safe travels!!!!!!
