OK! Here’s this week’s painting which is actually painted in gouache, is 4×6 inches on cold press paper.

Sticks and Stones Reloaded

Each of these sticks and stones were on view at a beautiful beach near St John’s in New Brunswick Canada. Here on the road, this paintings true colors are a deep purple stone in the lower left corner. A brilliant salmon pink stone in the right middle of the painting. And there’s a vein of that same pink on top of that stone and in the larger grey stone above. Ooooh la la – this photo does not do this painting justice.

We left behind a beautiful stone that looked as if it had a landscape painting painted on it! Check it out here.

Excellent Adventure

So far, we have had an excellent time visiting friends and family along the way. The most challenging part has been slogging our way through persistent rain and drizzle and temperatures in the mid to low 40sF. But! Everywhere we go, people are so warm and welcoming that we completely forget about the cruddy weather.

Where’s Crispy the Crab

Crispy is delighted to report to you from atop our car today. He and we are so relieved to see the sun today (Tuesday). Ahhhhh!!!

Wait Reversing Falls

Ooops! I nearly forgot to mention that we did see the Reversing Falls at Fundy Bay. Wowza! I came away sensing the immense power of rapidly flowing water. See it if you can!

Make it yours

If you think you’d like to have this week’s painting, know that it’s a greeting card and painting all in one. All of that goodness for just $25. We can figure out payment options (Venmo or check to my home studio). Once I receive payment, I will pop it in the mail to you. Simply contact me here. Just know that we are on the road for awhile which may slow delivery if you send me a check, ok?

What gorgeous rocks! I can see why they inspired you and especially like the salmony notes of the rocks in the middle of your painting. So happy you got some sunny weather at last and that you’re enjoying visiting friends and family! xoxo

I wonder what that gorgeous salmon-colored intrusion is? As in the mineral make-up. Not sure I’ve seen something that color!
Also love the landscape on a rock rock. Great eyes to catch that on what apparently is a beach rock with wonders!

      Hiya Beth,

Thinking iron is the cause? But not sure at all. This place is a geologist’s dreamscape! xoxo
