Green apple: A Favorite Things painting

Green apple: A Favorite Things painting

Green apples remind me of apple pie and fall and cooler weather! You? I love how tangy they taste. There’s even a zingy but sweet aspect to their flavor, don’t you think? Well, here we are with the fourth posting in 2020 as part of a series called Favorite Things.

I love thinking about that tart taste you experience when you take that first bite of a green apple. Some people only enjoy green apples in pies. But I do like a green apple at breakfast or a snack every now and then. Pair it with some sharp cheddar cheese or salty almonds and oooh la la, that is one delicious snack, Don’t you think?

Believe it or not, I think about the apple’s crunchiness and tart taste as I’m painting. This painting is on an 6 x 6″ panel. And, who knew that Granny Smith apples originated in Australia? Here’s an interesting link with the culinary folklore behind the crispy green apple.

If you think you might like to have this sweet painting for your very own, it’s listed for sale here. You can also receive these weekly blog posts by signing up here.

Thank you for reading and share what you think of crispy green apples in the comments!
